Where Senior Dogs Are the Concern

Ellen’s Honor's mission is to locate and provide services for senior dogs in need, that include foster care and adoption, medical care and cost assistance, emergency transport, and animal welfare support.

The organization also supports senior dogs' humans with talking points for conversations with veterinarians regarding care.

What We Do

Ellen’s Honor is established with the intent to be a resource for people with high-needs senior dogs who are unable to seek out care due to the associated costs or other extenuating circumstances.

The organization can also assist people who are aware of a senior dog in need of support that may not be receiving proper care in their current situation.

Who is Ellen?

Ellen was adopted from the Humane League of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on October 23rd, 2010 and she passed away on April 7th, 2021 after complications from an emergency room visit to relieve fluid from her lungs.

Ellen was a valued and revered member of our family. Her daily care was one of our main concerns.
